Hey!

Okay so i know it was longer than a year ago that i posted this.
I just kinda gave up, but i want to start it again!
Let me catch you up on my life, so you know a little more about me.
I'm coming in to my 2nd year of college and a lot has changed for me.
I no longer have the same boy friend that is in my about me, i found out he'd been cheating the whole relationship.
So i no longer live with him. I'm going to a college in my parents home state. But i think I'm going to take next semester off, So I'll have a lot more time to write!! I gave up cheer leading, i realized the goal of cheering for the Dallas Cowboys will get me no where.
I now want to be a wedding planner and own my own business after i graduate, in either Pittsburgh or Colorado. Can't decide.
Anyway, that was just a little catch up of my life..
I hope to RE start this story soon.
Maybe a Chapter in less than a week? Maybe today.
But i would like to ask if you would please comment this and tell me if i should, because if i get enough comments, i'll restart the story from chapter 2.
Thanks guys!
XOXO.
-Anna.

Oh and sorry if the paragraphs aren't right and some of the words are misplelled i think you'll be able to understand...if you try. haha.

Thanks for reading!!

Love,

Anna.

I ran down the black rocky pavement watching it fly by feeling the bumpiness underneath my Nike tennis shoes. My ipod in my ears. Feeling the breeze blow past me, just like every weekday morning, just like every other 6 miles I run every weekday. I sing along to “Waking up in Vegas” quietly. I pass by the the park on the East side of the lake in Thunder Bay Ontario, telling me that I’m pretty close to my car and pretty close to finishing my 6 mile run. I see my gold accord and jog to the driver side and drive to my favorite bagel shop that I hit every morning.

“Hey Tony.” I say happily to the cashier behind the desk as I walk through the door.

“oh, hey Kate! 7:30a.m.” He says as he checks his watch “Right on time cinnamon bagel comin’ right up.” He says turning around to pour me a black decaf coffee with one packet of French vanilla.

I sat by the bar and picked up the newspaper next to me. The cover talked about something going on in the war “Hmm not interesting enough.” I murmer to myself and see my coffee and cinnamon bagel in front of me.

“Thanks Tony.”

“No problem Kate, anything for my girl.”

I smile. He was like my 2nd father he knew me since I was In highschool. He knew everything about me, he approved the guys I went out with, and I trusted him with everything I had, he bought me Christmas presents, and was even at my highschool graduation.

“So the war isn’t interesting enough for ya huh? Maybe you should open the cover every once in a while and see that the penguins lost in the playoffs against The Hurricanes in the 3rd round.” He winks at me.

“And why would I be interested in them?? I hate hockey.” I say remembering my past and rolling my eyes.

“Well you didn’t hate it when you were in high school, actually if I can remember you were in love with the sport and a player of the sport, a very good player actually, one that is now on The Pittsburgh Penguins, and is back in town for the summer.”

“Tony, please.” I say "That was highschool, and I wasn’t in love with him, it was a stupid fling. Nothing important.” My stomach churns at the thought.

“A stupid fling? Please Kate, everytime you two came In here you would look at him with sparkly eyes and never let go of eachother, I know love when I see it.”

He was right. Tony knew EVERYTHING about love he had the greatest love of his life with him, she had been with him 40 years now. I remember coming in here and he would tell stories about her and their amazing life together. They were everything I had ever wanted..and thought I had.

“Well even if I was In love with him, he wasn’t in love with me he left me for another girl, it was high school you cant be in love.” I spun around in the bar stool once and found tony looking at me with a look as if I was stupid.

“Me and LeeAnn started dating in Jr. High and all through high school, we were in love and still are 40 years later. You two were in love It was written all over both of your faces.”

He was right, and I couldn’t argue with him, but I had to.

“ Not every relationship is like you and LeeAnn's, That happens like once in a lifetime. Plus I loved him, the feeling wasn’t mutual with him, that’s it. Deals done.”

“Oh Really? He didn’t love you? That’s why he came in the other day and asked if you still came around.” He paused waiting for my reaction.

“HE WHAT??!!” I practically yelled. “Well, what did you tell him?” I said a little more calm now so no one else heard me.

“I simply said, ‘Kate comes in here everyday after her morning run, about 7:30.’ He smiled and walked out” Tony smiled at me.

“Wht didn’t you tell me this before? What if he comes in here? What if-“

“Yeah” Tony began “He said something about that.” He said reading the newspaper behind the counter.

“About what?? COMING IN HERE??” I yelled again. I ran in the bathroom and tried to fix my hair it was no use it was a sweaty mess, I was a sweaty mess. I couldn’t let Jordan see me like this. I ran out of the bathroom throwing a ten on the counter.

“Keep the change.” I yell running out of the door grabbing my keys.

I ran out of the door and of course I drop my keys. I hurry and bend over to pick them up.

“Kate?” I hear a deep familiar voice.

‘crap’ think to myself.

I turn around to see a tall gorgeous blond coming out of the shoe store next to Tony’s.

‘What the hecks he doing in the shoe store, the shoe store for women.’ I think.

“Hi,” I pause acting like I’m trying to remember his name. “Um, Jordan.” I fake a laugh.

“Hi.” He just says.

"Haha hiii.” I say back.

“Yeah.” He begins. “I thought that was you. I just saw you through the window off the store and wanted to say hi.”

“hi.” I say like that’s the only word I know.

“Well since that seems like the only word in your vocabulary ill ask you a question and see if you will be able to answer that without saying hi first.” We both laugh. “How have you been? I haven’t seen you in years.”

I’m stunned and feel like I can’t talk. “I’ve been very good, I’m in College and majoring to be a School Teacher,

I run every morning, That’s why I look so sweaty and bad, and-“

“You look great.” He says. We both pause for a moment. “I mean you definitely don’t look bad..at all.”

“Well thanks.” I laugh and feel its getting kind of awkward so I bring up a different subject. “I heard you play hockey now up in Pittsburgh. How is that going?”

“It’s very good. I have a home there and a home here, but in Pittsburgh it really does feel like a 2nd home. It’s great. I love it there.”

“Well that’s really good, im happy for you.”

“Well thanks.” He pauses and I’m desperately anxious for his next sentence. “So..are you in a relationship these days.”

“Nope not right now, but I’ve been busy with school and being a leader at my church but it’s summer so I have more time now, thank god.” We laugh. “Are you in a relationship right now?”

“Yeah, I’m actually still together with Abby.” He pauses looking on the horrible past as I am to. Maybe he shouldn’t of said that.

“oh wow, that’s a while then huh?” I say quietly.

“Yep, it is going on 3 years here.”

“wow” I say almost silent.

“HI BABYY!” I here an obnoxious voice come from behind Jordan.

“Hi abby. “ he says rolling his eyes as he turns around.

“Hey can you give me your card I need to by a couple pairs of shoes. Well if that’s okayyyy.” She says pouting.

“Yeah its fine go ahead..” He hands her the platinum card out of his wallet.

“Here you go.”He says glumly.

“Thanks baby.” She says happily and cheerful as she leans up and kisses him on his cheek.

“Yeah your welcome.” He says with a slight fake smile looking down at the ground. She runs back in the store, or its more of a skip then a run.

“Wow, didn’t even notice me.” I say, faking a slight smile.

“Yeah she usually does that.”

“Guess she’s just to excited about buying her new shoes!” I say sadly.

“Girl can’t even buy her own pairs of shoes.” I say quietly.

“What was that ?” Jordan asks.

“Oh, nothing just wondering why she can’t buy her own pair of shoes.”

I fake a laugh, he does to.

“Well.”Jordan says “She doesn’t have a job right now so I really don’t mind much.”

Here he goes with his fake smile again.

‘Doesn’t have a job right now’ I think. ‘When has she ever worked a day I her life?’

“Oh okay. I guess I understand then.” Not..

“yeahh” Jordan says.

“Okay well I think it’s time for me to get going I have to get ready for work later”

“No please don’t go.” I swear I hear him say, but an obnoxious screech of a voice interrupts him.

“Alright!!! Well im done getting my shoes. You want to eat at the shack of a resteeraunt? Ewww. That’s been there for what? 100 years.” She says carrying about 10 bags of shoes. It makes me mad that she talked about Tony’s shop like that.

“Abby I didn’t mean buy 50 pairs of shoes, you already have a billion of them, some of them you’ve never even taken out of the box.” He whispers angrily.

“Oh its fine hun, ill wear these!!” She says. She probably hasn’t even tried them on, she just wants to show them off that her boyfriend has money. She disgusts me.

“Okay. Whatever.” Jordan says giving in.

“Okay so do we have to eat at that stupid, old shack?” She says grossed out by Tony’s.

I just stand there, like an idiot.

“No, I wanted to earlier, but you had to shop so it’s too late now, no since in eating there now.”

“Okay great!!” She says relieved and too perky for 8:00 in the morning. She looks over at me. “Kate?! Is that you?”

“Yeah it is Abby I’ve been here the whole time.” I say straight up.

“oh, well sorry.” She smirks and grabs on to Jordan he rolls his eyes.

“yeah, so are you going to college?” I tryy to sound nice, but it’s hard.

“Oh, I dropped out.”

‘Woowww’ I just think.“Oh, im graduating next year, im majoring to be a school teacher.” I try to rub it in that im doing something with mylife, and not just depending on a guy. But she probably doesn’t care..at all.

“Great.” She says blankly, not impressed. “Well I have Jordan so it’s okay.”

She laughs and pulls him down by his face and starts to make out with him, he has an angry expression and doesn’t kiss back.

“Abby!” He pushes her off. “I don’t want to do that in public.”

She giggles. “Oh so you want to do it in private I see. Well,” She says sexually, rubbing her finger down his chest.

“Then lets get home.” She smirks. He pulls her finger off.

“Stop it!” He complains, obviously mad.

She giggles biting her lips.

“Okay well im going to go ahead and get going. Have a good day.”

“Bye kate.” Jordan says sadly as Abby rubs against him and keeps giggling.

“Bye.” I turn around. “Forever.” I whisper.

And I swear as he turns around he whisphers the same exact thing.
